Forget trac and dotproject! Redmine is here.

Basically the software is much like the well known trac + dotproject with the look of trac, but has least twice the features and also feels to be a faster. But that’s probably the speed benefits Ruby on Rails 2.x.
I wonder why I haven’t read any reviews of Redmine yet. It isn’t yet even listed on Wikipedia, although version 0.1 was releason on the 25th, July 2006. But it is definatly worth checking out or switching

I’ve written a few posts on Redmine on my blog. I’ve been using it for about a year now and it’s great. If you know Ruby on Rails, it’s pretty easy to write plugins for (I’ve written 6 of them myself) and is pretty straight forward to hack on.

We have been using Redmine for over a year and still enjoy using the software.
I actually blogged a review last year.

A lot has changed since then. I should post an updated review.

Thanks. I actually encounter some small bugs after importing from Mantis.
Easy custom plugins is of course a great benefit. This is Firefox’s success and i think Redmine will also benefit from it.
