Bytescout Post2Blog 3.00 now freeware

Mai 30th, 2007 by Blu:RayNe

Well, i prefer posting with Dan’s FCKeditor- and SyntaxHighlighting-plugin in Wordpress online, but when it comes to images, saving them and uploading is often not that comfortable.

Windows Live Writer was a nice program, but i don’t support Microsoft although that program is really good. Today Bytescout released Post2Blog and i thought ?give it a try?.

Time to try something new:

  • Bytescout Post2BlogFreeware (if anyone can suggest me an open-source solution i would be grateful)
  • Live spell checking (if your Browser didn’t support it yet)
  • Firefox und Internet Explorer-plugins (whoever needs it!)
  • better WYSIWYG-Editor
  • link re-occurring text in your blog
  • faster linking (i hate waiting for Firefox to open that damn window!)
  • copy and paste images from clipboard without saving to disk, resizing it and automatically uploading by FTP or your blog software itself ;)
  • and faster than the web-interface
  • insert music being played in your media player
  • highlight code

Anyway, it’s not perfect:

  • Linking text has some issues (and i don’t like the target-Attribute in my links!)
  • editing concated HTML-Code without syntax-highlighting and line-breaks is ugly
  • no Wordpress or your blog-software plugins :(

That all means more pictures in the blog entries for you in near future!

Current music: Basil Poledouris, "Crystal Palace" (from ?Conan - The Destroyer - Soundtrack?)

[...] most things are better done than in Post2Blog which is now freeware. I only wonder what happened to Microsoft. Do they see themselves [...]
